Ivonne Johanna Orejuela Ramírez

Ivonne Johanna Orejuela Ramírez is a ancestral cultora, wise woman and midwife, dedicated to the research, practice and safeguarding of Afro cultural traditions, carrying out processes in natural medicine, healing and midwifery. Midwife, social leader, singer and ethnomusic pedagogue. She has been working as a midwife for 16 years. Currently under the direction of the Afro-ancestral healing Kilombo GRIOTS which is part of the district health network where she serves as a senior midwife. She is also part of the district council of midwives. In addition to midwifery, she carries out processes of healing and social leadership. She has lectured in ethno-education for different educational institutions such as the Central University, the Panamerican University Foundation, Uniminuto, Andean Area, Javeriana University, Central University Univalle and the Institute of Political Studies and International Relations IEPRI of the National University of Bogota, among others, sharing her knowledge as a midwife.
